Capitol Canine Dog Sports (CCDS) Board 2016

The five-member CCDS Board is elected for one-year terms beginning on January 1 and ending December 31.  The President, Secretary, and Director-At-Large shall be elected in even years and the Vice President and Treasurer in odd years to ensure continuity on the Board.  General management of the Club’s affairs shall be entrusted to the Board of Directors.

President – Kathleen Stevens

The President shall preside at all meetings of the Club and of the Board, and shall have the duties and powers normally appurtenant to the office of President.  The President prepares the agenda for meetings, calls the meetings to order, keeps meetings to the order of business, handles discussions in an orderly way by giving every member who wishes a chance to speak, ensures the discussion is respectful, does not enter into discussion, states each motion before it is discussed and again before it is voted upon, puts motions to vote and announces the outcome, may vote when his/her vote would affect the outcome, or in any case when voting is by ballot, and provides executive leadership to the Board.

Vice President – Chari Hopper

The Vice President shall have the duties and exercise the powers of the President in case of the President’s death, absence or incapacity.

Secretary – Shari Goodfield

The Secretary keeps a record of all meetings of the Club and the Board.  He/she is responsible for all correspondence, overseeing elections, keeping a roll of the members of the Club, and maintaining an accurate record of modifications to the governing documents of the Club.

Treasurer – Marion Richter

The Treasurer collects and receives all monies due or belonging to the Club and deposits the money in the name of the Club in a bank designated by the Board.   The Treasurer pays all debts of the Club and keeps records of all expenses and disbursements.  The Club’s financial records shall at all times be open to inspection by the Board and members.  The Treasurer reports at every Club and Board meeting the condition of the Club’s finances and every item of receipt or payment not previously reported.

Director-At-Large – Amanda Sedivy

The Director-At-Large is responsible for participating in the general management of the Club’s affairs.
